Over at ZYZZYVA blog, Howard Junker is whining about submitters while censoring my comment.
So I'll reconstruct it here.

Dear Howard,
I don't mind you soliciting subscriptions via rejection, nor do I usually mind your rejections. However, the last rejection you sent had me a bit puzzled.
Rather than send me your usual photocopied form letter with a scribbled "Onward," or "Hello to your mother," that I have become accustomed to, you sent back my cover letter, covered in your red pen. A few snarky comments I can take, but then you wrote something to the effect of: "I won't publish you again until you have a book out. So don't send."
Well, my book came out last week. I won't send.
Love,
R&R
